All About Birch
Painters and poets have memorialized Birch trees for centuries; and, as you can see they often end up on my canvases as well.
I love them, not only because of their beauty, but for all they provide.
Widely used by American Indians to build canoes and wigwams, baskets, arrow quivers and decorative items, Birch have been also been used as paper, medicine, essential oils, cosmetics and table syrup for centuries
Unfortunately, we are losing many of them to disease, old age and poachers who cut them down to sell for home decorations
